Doug Pederson Wins Big For The Eagles Autism Challenge

  • UPDATE: Doug Pederson got the best of Sean Payton once again. Pederson shot a 78 in Sunday's final round to bring home more money for the Eagles Autism Challenge. "It's very special. I'm very pleased," said Pederson, who finished 32nd overall in the event. "If I would have donated, it would have been just as special either way. This is a charity that is close to the Philadelphia Eagles and our owner, Jeffrey Lurie."

Can Doug Pederson extend his win streak and help a fantastic cause in the process?

Pederson and Sean Payton shared a laugh on the practice green at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Lake Tahoe, Nevada on Thursday as the two held up a midnight green Eagles jersey, the prize for a friendly golf wager from the NFL Annual Meeting back in March. The Eagles will wear their home midnight green jerseys when they play Payton's Saints in New Orleans on November 18 as a result of Pederson's victory.

Payton requested a rematch and didn't want to wait until the regular-season meeting between the two teams. The two are paired together in the American Century Championship Celebrity Golf Tournament this weekend, which begins on Friday. Whoever emerges from the three-round event with the best score will win a donation toward a local autism charity.

If Pederson bests Payton again, the **Eagles Autism Challenge** receives the money. KultureCity in New Orleans cashes in if Payton emerges on top of the leaderboard.
