Eagles Acquire WR Arrelious Benn

Continuing a busy week of roster moves, the Eagles made a trade Friday, acquiring 24-year-old wide receiver Arrelious Benn from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the deal, the Eagles acquire Benn and a 2013 seventh-round pick from the Bucs in exchange for a 2013 sixth-round pick and a conditional pick in 2014.

A second-round pick in 2010 out of Illinois, Benn, 6-2, 225, has 59 catches for 862 yards and five touchdowns. His best season came in 2011, when he caught 30 passes for 441 yards and three touchdowns. Benn suffered an MCL sprain during training camp in 2012 and only played in eight games.

On special teams, Benn returned 13 kickoffs in 2012 for a 23.5-yard average, including a long of 55.

Benn becomes the 12th receiver on the Eagles roster.

The seventh-round pick acquired from the Bucs is currently the 202nd overall selection. The Eagles still have eight selections in April's NFL Draft.
