Ahead of Sunday's game in Cincinnati, the Eagles activated rookie wide receiver Ainias Smith from the Injured Reserve list. Smith takes the place of defensive tackle Byron Young, who was placed on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury on Friday.

A fifth-round pick out of Texas A&M, Smith was the SEC's top all-purpose player last season with 1,204 all-purpose yards. An explosive play machine, Smith posted 22 plays of 20+ yards in 2023.

He finished his career as the only player in SEC history to record at least 2,000 receiving yards, 250 rushing yards, 250 punt return yards, and 250 kickoff return yards.

The 5-foot-9, 176-pound Smith is the fifth wide receiver on the active roster along with A.J. Brown, Jahan Dotson, DeVonta Smith, and Johnny Wilson. Britain Covey remains on Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury.

Smith opened the regular season on the Injured Reserve list with an ankle injury. His practice window opened on October 7 and he's been a full participant ever since.

The Eagles did not elevate anyone from the practice squad for Sunday's game.
