The Eagles activated tight end Dallas Goedert from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday.
Goedert has 15 catches for 216 yards and is tied for the team lead with two touchdown receptions this season. Goedert's 14.4 yards per catch ranks third among all NFL tight ends. The Eagles' top draft pick in 2018, Goedert is now the No. 1 tight end on the depth chart following last Friday's trade that sent Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals.
"I think Dallas will do a heck of a job," Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen said on Tuesday. "He's explosive, he's got really good hands, he's strong, he's powerful, he's good in the run game. So, really excited about Dallas moving forward."
Among all NFL tight ends since 2018, Goedert ranks sixth in yards after the catch (823), and his 14 receiving touchdowns are tied for eighth.
