The Eagles have added cornerback Chris Roberson to the practice squad to vill the open spot left by the promotion of wide receiver Jordan Norwood to the active roster.
Roberson, 5-11, 190 pounds, was a seventh-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2005 NFL Draft. Roberson spent training camp with the Detroit Lions and was released during the final roster cutdown. He recorded an interception in the Lions' fourth preseason game.
In seven career NFL games, he has recorded three tackles.
Norwood was promoted to the active roster from the practic squad on Tuesday with the status of wide receiver DeSean Jackson still uncertain for the upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons. Jackson suffered a mild concussion in last week's 27-24 win over the Washington Redskins. Cornerback Ramzee Robinson was released to make room on the active roster for Norwood.
