With their second pick in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Eagles selected safety Ed Reynolds out of Stanford with the 162nd overall pick.
The 6-foot-1, 207-pound Reynolds started 27 out of 35 games at free safety as he recorded 140 tackles, nine pass breakups and seven interceptions. Six of those interceptions came in 2012 when he was a third-team All-America selection. Last year, Reynolds was a Lott IMPACT Award semifinalist and first-team All-Pac-12 selection as he racked up 87 tackles and an interception.
Reynolds played in seven games as a true freshman in 2010 and took over as the starter in 2012 following a redshirt year in 2011. In his breakout 2012 campaign, Reynolds returned three of the six interceptions for touchdowns.
Reynolds' father, Ed, played 10 seasons in the NFL - nine with the Patriots (1983-91) and one with the Giants (1992).
