The Philadelphia Eagles have announced their 2017 schedule, which features five prime-time matchups, including two Monday Night Football home games at Lincoln Financial Field, two Sunday Night Football contests on the road, and an away matchup on Thursday Night Football.
The Eagles open the 2017 slate on the road against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Sept. 10, marking the first time that the Eagles have opened the season against a division rival since 2013 (also at Washington) and just the third time that they have done so since the divisional reformatting in 2002.
Philadelphia will be back on the road in Week 2, as head coach Doug Pederson makes his return to Kansas City for a tilt against former Eagles head coach Andy Reid and the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium (Sunday, Sept. 17).
Lincoln Financial Field will welcome back Eagles fans and kick off the 2017 home schedule in Week 3, when the Eagles host the New York Giants on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1:00 p.m.
In Week 4, the Birds will make their first cross-country flight of the season to face the Los Angeles Chargers (Sunday, Oct. 1), marking the first time that the Eagles have played in the Los Angeles metropolitan area since a 1990 contest against the L.A. Rams in Anaheim, California. Philadelphia returns home in Week 5, where they will play host to the Arizona Cardinals (Sunday, Oct. 8).
The Eagles will make their prime-time debut in Week 6 when they travel to Carolina to face the Panthers on Thursday Night Football (Oct. 12). That contest marks the first of two prime-time games in a row for the Birds, as Philadelphia will host Washington at Lincoln Financial Field in Week 7 on Monday Night Football (Oct. 23).
The Week 7 contest against Washington kicks off a three-game homestand for the Eagles, as they will host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8 (Sunday, Oct. 29) and the Denver Broncos in Week 9 (Sunday, Nov. 5) before heading into their Week 10 bye.
Following the bye, Philadelphia will head to Dallas in Week 11 to take on the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football (Nov. 19), marking the third straight year and the fifth time since 2012 that the two rivals have played on Sunday night at AT&T Stadium.
Philadelphia returns home in Week 12 to play the Chicago Bears (Sunday, Nov. 26) before embarking on a three-game road stretch which features back-to-back West Coast contests at Seattle on Sunday Night Football (Dec. 3) and at the Los Angeles Rams (Sunday, Dec. 10).
The Eagles round out their road schedule in Week 15 against the New York Giants (Sunday, Dec. 17).
As they did in 2016, Philadelphia will close the 2017 regular season with back-to-back home games in Weeks 16 and 17. Eagles fans will be treated to a Monday Night Football matchup against the Oakland Raiders on Christmas (Monday, Dec. 25) and a New Year's Eve contest against Dallas (Sunday, Dec. 31).
