In celebration of the Philadelphia Eagles clinching a playoff berth, the Eagles Autism Foundation is excited to announce the first matching gift drive of the year for new and existing participants of the 2022 Eagles Autism Challenge presented by Lincoln Financial Group. The $25,000 matching gift has been made possible thanks to the generosity of a longtime Season Ticket Member.
"We are excited to kick off the new year and beginning of playoffs with this matching gift," said Ryan Hammond, Executive Director, Eagles Autism Foundation. "We truly believe our fans are the best in the world. The transformational impact that we've been able to have on individuals and families with autism is a direct result of our fan's support and generosity each and every year. This matching gift allows us to celebrate our team's success on the field by continuing to make a difference off the field."
The Wild Card Playoff Matching Gift Challenge is aimed at helping participants meet and exceed their Eagles Autism Challenge fundraising goals, where the first $25,000 in online donations will be matched, dollar for dollar.
The matching gift applies to all online donations made between Wednesday, January 12 at 9:00 AM ET and Wednesday, January 19 at 11:59 PM ET, or until the $25,000 matching gift has been reached. Each donation will be matched up to $500 per donation. Registration fees and any other costs or fees associated with the Eagles Autism Challenge are not subject to the promotion and will not be matched.
Championed by Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie, the Eagles Autism Challenge presented by Lincoln Financial Group is a one-day bike ride and family-friendly 5K run/walk that begins and ends at Lincoln Financial Field. The event features three cycling routes – Wawa Junior 10-Mile Ride, Wawa Shorti 30-Mile Ride, and Wawa Classic 50-Mile Ride – a 5K Run/Walk and 5K Sensory Walk. All five routes end at Lincoln Financial Field with participants crossing the finish line at the 50-yard line. There is also a virtual participant option for those who want to fundraise but are unable to ride, run, or walk on event day.
The fifth annual Eagles Autism Challenge presented by Lincoln Financial Group will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Since launching in May 2018, the Eagles Autism Challenge has raised more than $12 million for cutting-edge autism research and care.
