Just three days after he was released, cornerback Brandon Hughes is back with the Eagles.
The fifth-year veteran was released Saturday. Hughes was already unable to play Monday night against the Redskins due to a hand injury. With Hughes back, the Eagles have six cornerbacks: Cary Williams, Bradley Fletcher, Brandon Boykin, Jordan Poyer, Shaun Prater and Hughes.
The 5-11, 185-pound Hughes is one of the gunners on the special teams unit. In fact, Hughes was one of the team's best special teams players last season while also serving as a valuable reserve on defense.
No other roster moves were announced as the Eagles kept an open spot following Hughes' release.
