The Eagles claimed cornerback Alex Brown off waivers Friday afternoon. Brown was recently waived by the San Francisco 49ers after signing with them as an undrafted free agent in the spring. The South Carolina State University product is 22 years old standing at 5-11, 170-pounds. He attended Lake Marion High School in Santee, South Carolina.
At the 2019 NFL Combine, Brown recorded a 4.42-second 40-yard dash and 41.5-inch vertical leap. His quickness and arm length made him a standout compared to other cornerbacks.
During his time with the Bulldogs, Brown appeared in 31 games. As a senior in 2018, he started 11 games earning second-team All-MEAC honors posting 42 tackles and leading the team with four interceptions.
