Let's all just agree to forget about the first half of Sunday's season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Trailing 17-0 at halftime, the Eagles came all the way back in the second half after a sputtering offense finally got going and the Eagles defense shut out the Jaguars offense. After pulling within three points after the third quarter, the Eagles tied up the game 17-17 thanks to Cody Parkey's first NFL field goal, a ho-hum effort that split the uprights from 51 yards out.

The Jaguars responded with a productive drive, only to be stalled at the Eagles' 46-yard-line. On the very first play of the ensuing drive, Nick Foles rolled right and tossed a bomb downfield to an absolutely wide open Jeremy Maclin, who strolled into the end zone for a go-ahead 68-yard touchdown reception.

The Eagles defense then stepped up, stopping the Jaguars offense on 4th-and-1 from the Jaguars' own 29-yard-line when Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne overthrew tight end Marcedes Lewis. The Eagles offense would take advantage of that field position, pushing home a 28-yard field goal to take a 27-17 lead with 1:57 left, all but icing the game.

After a dominant second half, though, the Eagles defense decided to get in on the scoring action, as Trent Cole sacked Henne, prying the ball loose. Fletcher Cox would scoop up the loose ball and scamper into the end zone for a 19-yard touchdown recovery, giving the Eagles the 34-17 lead that would mark the final score.
