For the second straight week, the Eagles have elevated wide receiver Britain Covey and punter Arryn Siposs to the gameday roster.
Britain Covey is expected to return punts for the Eagles during the home opener against the Vikings.
Last season, he finished second among all rookies in punt return yards (308) and third in punt return average (9.3 yards per carry). He also chipped in with 10 kickoff returns.
In Week 1, Covey returned two punts for 30 yards. The speedy special teamer showed his elusiveness on a 25-yard punt return, his longest of the afternoon.
Siposs will be the punter and holder against the Vikings.
Siposs averaged 44.7 yards per punt and 39.2 net over his first two seasons with Philadelphia. He has also been the holder for kicker Jake Elliott, forming a successful partnership.
In Week 1, he punted four times for a total of 197 yards. He averaged 49.3 yards per punt, with his longest being 54 yards.
Siposs held for Elliott, who made all four of his field goal attempts, earning him NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Covey and Siposs have been elevated twice this season. The pair can only be elevated once more this season, per NFL rules. – Written by Owen Boyle
