The Eagles elevated rookie wide receiver Britain Covey from the practice squad for Sunday's NFC East showdown against the Washington Commanders, the team announced on Saturday.
This is the third time that Covey has been elevated ahead of a game. Covey has been used exclusively on special teams in the first two games, returning five punts for 27 yards. In all, he's played nine snaps on special teams.
One of the most decorated return specialists in college football, Covey was a three-time All-Pac-12 selection during his career at Utah, where finished as the school's all-time leader in punt return yardage.
Following Sunday's game, Covey will revert back to the practice squad.
