Eagles elevate E.J. Jenkins from the practice squad for Sunday's game

The Eagles will have three tight ends at their disposal on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars after elevating E.J. Jenkins from the practice squad.

This is the third time that Jenkins has been elevated from the practice squad this season. He was elevated for the first two games of the season against Green Bay and Atlanta, seeing a total of five offensive snaps over the two games. Jenkins also chipped in with 15 special teams snaps in those contests.

Dallas Goedert will miss his third straight game with a hamstring injury that he suffered early in the Week 6 win at Lincoln Financial Field over the Cleveland Browns. Grant Calcaterra and Jack Stoll have shouldered the load in the interim, but the Eagles chose the past two weeks not to have a third tight end for gameday.

Jenkins (6-6, 245) originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Jets in 2023 before spending time on the Raiders' and Eagles' practice squads. A wide receiver in college, Jenkins played in 46 career games with St. Francis of PA, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech. He amassed 1,264 yards and 18 touchdowns on 69 catches.

The Eagles have tight end Albert Okwuegbunam designated for return from Injured Reserve, but the team would need to create a spot on the 53-man roster to activate him.

Jacksonville announced several roster moves ahead of Sunday's game.

Wide receiver Christian Kirk, who broke his collarbone last week against the Packers, was placed on Injured Reserve.

The Jaguars elevated two wide receivers – Elijah Cooks and Austin Trammell – from the practice squad for Sunday's game. In addition to Kirk's injury, fellow wide receivers Gabe Davis (shoulder) and Brian Thomas Jr. (chest) are questionable for the Jaguars. Both players were limited in practice all week.
