After last week's announcement of the Eagles 2014 schedule, the team has confirmed the dates and times of the four preseason games:
August 8, at Chicago, 8 PM EST
August 15, at New England, 7:30 PM EST
August 21, vs. Pittsburgh, 7:30 PM EST
August 28, vs. New York Jets, 7 PM EST
The Eagles will begin the preseason with back-to-back road games, opening with a trip to Soldier Field to play the Chicago Bears on August 8. Next, the Eagles will travel North for an August 15 date with the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
New England traveled to Philadelphia last summer, when the two teams took part in a pair of joint practices at the NovaCare Complex prior to the preseason opener.
The Eagles' third preseason game, typically the closest thing to a dress rehearsal for the regular season, will open the 2014 schedule at Lincoln Financial Field when the Eagles welcome in the Pittsburgh Steelers on the evening of August 21.
Finally, the Eagles will close the preseason slate on August 28 with a matchup against the New York Jets, as they have done each preseason since 2001. That preseason finale will take place at Lincoln Financial Field.
