The Eagles have released offensive tackle Chris Patrick. The roster now stands at 79 players. The Eagles have until Tuesday at 4 PM (EST) to get to the league-mandated roster limit of 75.
Signed to the Eagles practice squad at the start of the 2008 regular season, Patrick was promoted to the active roster on Dec. 3 when guard Max Jean-Gilles was placed on the injured reserve list. Originally a rookie free agent signing of the Giants in 2007, Patrick spent the 2008 preseason with San Francisco and Detroit before being signed by the Eagles.
Patrick was a three-year letterman at Nebraska, where he was a teammate of linebacker Stewart Bradley.
