The Eagles announced on Wednesday morning that they have signed tight end C.J. Uzomah to the active roster and wide receiver Parris Campbell to the practice squad.
Signed TE C.J. Uzomah to the active roster
• The 6-foot-6, 262-pound Uzomah is a 10-year NFL veteran out of Auburn.
• Uzomah was signed to the Eagles' practice squad on October 10. He was elevated for each of the last three games (all wins).
• Uzomah has played 39 snaps on offense, including a season-high 20 in Sunday's win over the Ravens.
• In 109 career regular-season games, Uzomah has 192 catches for 1,881 yards and 16 touchdowns.
• Uzomah also has playoff experience, starting all four postseason contests for Cincinnati's AFC Championship team in 2021.
• Originally a fifth-round draft pick of the Bengals in 2015, Uzomah spent seven seasons in Cincinnati and the previous two with the New York Jets.
Signed WR Parris Campbell to the practice squad
• Campbell returns to the practice squad after being waived from the Eagles' active roster on Monday.
• In five games for the Eagles, Campbell has six receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown this season.
• In Sunday's win over Baltimore, Campbell's first since the Week 7 win over the Giants, he played 28 snaps on offense and another eight on special teams.
• Head Coach Nick Sirianni cited Campbell for his downfield block on Saquon Barkley's 25-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
• Campbell (6-1, 205 pounds) is a sixth-year player who originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts, where he played for Sirianni, then the Colts' offensive coordinator.
