All signed, sealed, and soon to be delivered to Training Camp: The Eagles' 2023 Draft Class is all set for what's ahead as fourth-round draft pick cornerback Kelee Ringo signed his contract, meaning that the team's seven draft selections have signed their rookie deals well ahead of the July 25 reporting date to the NovaCare Complex for the start of Training Camp.
The 6-foot-2, 207-pound Ringo enjoyed an outstanding career at Georgia, starting 27 of the 30 games played as the Bulldogs won back-to-back National Championships. Ringo recorded 76 total tackles (63 solo), 19 passes defensed, and four interceptions for one of the nation's top defenses. After redshirting in 2020, Ringo earned All-SEC Freshman Team honors in 2021, punctuating that campaign with a 79-yard interception return for a touchdown to seal the Bulldogs' victory over Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, one of the greatest moments in program history.
As a redshirt sophomore, Ringo started all 15 games and earned All-SEC honors with 42 total tackles (37 solo), nine passes defensed, and two interceptions.
The 105th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Ringo is part of a deep and talented group of cornerbacks for the Eagles, led by Darius Slay and James Bradberry, returning starters who helped the 2022 Philadelphia defense rank first in the NFL against the pass. Ringo was the third player from Georgia (joining defensive tackle Jalen Carter and edge player Nolan Smith) taken by the Eagles in the 2023 draft and the fifth Bulldog (defensive tackle Jordan Davis and linebacker Nakobe Dean in 2021) selected by the Eagles in the last two years.
