The Eagles signed linebacker Chris Worley on Monday to replace linebacker Paul Worrilow, who was released Sunday afternoon. Worley signed with the Seattle Seahawks on August 4, 2019 but was waived four days later and now comes to Philadelphia.
The 6-1, 242-pound Ohio State product signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in the 2018 season. He spent most of the year on the practice squad but saw action in two games where he recorded two tackles as a rookie.
In college, Worley played numerous positions for the Buckeyes including safety, outside linebacker, and middle linebacker. During the 2016 season, he played on the outside finishing with 69 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, and his first collegiate interception. He received honorable mention All-Big Ten accolades for his performance in both the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
