Eagles Sign OL Matt Kopa

The Eagles have filled the 53rd spot on their roster with the addition of offensive lineman Matt Kopa, who had been on the New England Patriots' practice squad.

The 25-year-old Kopa, 6-6, 310, was originally signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford in 2010. Over the last three seasons, he has spent time with the 49ers, the Miami Dolphins and the Patriots. Though he has appeared on an active roster before, he has never played in a regular season game.

Kopa began his playing career Stanford as a defensive lineman and switched to the offensive side of the ball for his final two seasons in college.

Kopa is the 10th offensive lineman on the active roster, joining King Dunlap, Evan Mathis, Dallas Reynolds, Jake Scott, Dennis Kelly, Danny Watkins, Demetress Bell, Matt Tennant and Nate Menkin.
