The Eagles signed offensive tackle Nic Purcell Monday, adding the offensive lineman after Purcell took place in the team's rookie camp this weekend on a tryout basis. Purcell is the third tryout player to earn a spot on the 90-man roster thus far.
To make room on the roster for Purcell, the Eagles released offensive lineman Matt Reynolds, who spent most of the 2012 season on the team's practice squad. Reynolds is the brother of Eagles center Dallas Reynolds.
A native of New Zealand, Purcell, 6-6, 305, played collegiately at Golden West Community College. He was reportedly set to transfer to Oregon before the NCAA ruled that he had exhausted his years of eligibility.
