ARLINGTON, TX --** With Sunday night's 24-22 win over the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles clinched the NFC East division title with a 10-6 record. The Eagles are the No. 3 seed for the 2013 NFC Playoffs and will host the No. 6 seed New Orleans Saints at Lincoln Financial Field in the Wild Card Round next Saturday night, January 4, at 8: 10 p.m.
The Saints finished second place in the NFC South with an 11-5 record. All five of their losses were on the road.
Led by Pro Bowl quarterback Drew Brees, the Saints' prolific offense ranked fourth in total yards and 10th in scoring in 2013. The Saints boasted the NFL's second-best passing attack averaging 307.4 yards per game. Brees was second in the NFL with 5,162 passing yards and 39 touchdowns against just 12 interceptions for a quarterback rating of 104.7
Eagles quarterback Nick Foles and Brees both played their high school football at Westlake in Austin, Texas. Brees held all of the school records until they were broken by Foles.
