The Eagles have confirmed reports that they have requested interviews and will interview a trio of Atlanta Falcons assistant coaches for the team's head coaching vacancy. Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, Falcons defensive coordinator Mike Nolan and Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong will all be vetted and interviewed by the Eagles.

Koetter, 53, joined the Falcons as offensive coordinator this season after five seasons as offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Prior to that, he was head coach of Arizona State for six seasons. He also has head coaching experience leading Boise State for three seasons from 1998-2000. This year, the Falcons rank eighth in total offense (369.1 yards per game) and seventh in scoring offense (26.2 points per game).

Nolan, 53, joined the Falcons this season after serving two seasons as defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins and one season as defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. Prior to that, he was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers for four seasons. The Falcons rank 24th in total defense in 2012, but are fifth in scoring defense with only 18.7 points allowed per game. They are tied for fifth with 20 takeaways on the season (the Eagles finished tied for 30th in 2012 with only eight takeaways).

Armstrong, 47, has coached the Falcons' special teams since 2008. Prior to that, he was special teams coordinator for the Miami Dolphinsfrom 2001-2007 and special teams coordinator for the Chicago Bears from 1997-2000.
