Eagles Trim Roster On Eve Of Camp

The Eagles released two players with the reporting day for rookies and selected veterans at Training Camp just two days away. Defensive tackle Tevita Finau and punter Ryan Tydlacks will not join the Eagles at Lehigh University.

There were no other roster moves. The team's roster now stands at 88, two shy of the 90-man limit.

Finau was a rookie who was acquired off waivers from Arizona on June 22. He did not take part in any of the spring camps with the Eagles. The former Utah player had 37 tackles and three sacks last season. Defensive tackle is one of the deepest positions on the Eagles' roster.

Tydlacka was expected to come in and compete with Chas Henry for the punting job. The former Kentucky punter led the SEC as a senior with 20 punts of 50-or-more yards with 19 inside the 20-yard line.

There is currently no other punter on the roster.
