Eagles vs. Bengals Injury Report

The Eagles started the week of practice without two starters on offense.

Right guard Mekhi Becton (concussion) and tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday.

Becton exited the first quarter of Sunday's win over the Giants and was replaced by Tyler Steen.

Goedert suffered his hamstring injury two weeks ago against the Browns and missed the Giants game. The Eagles opened last Sunday's win with both Grant Calcaterra and Jack Stoll on the field, as they played nearly the same exact amount of snaps.

Linebacker Zack Baun (shoulder) missed practice on Wednesday. He suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game and did not return, although it was at the time when the starters were pulled.

Defensive tackle Byron Young also missed practice with a hamstring injury. Young has yet to suit up in a game for the Eagles after being claimed off waivers at the start of the season.

Cornerback Eli Ricks (groin) missed Sunday's game after suffering the injury in practice last week. He returned Wednesday as a limited participant.

The Eagles rested several key veterans on Wednesday: running back Saquon Barkley, defensive end Brandon Graham, cornerback Darius Slay, and outside linebacker Josh Sweat.

Tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (abdomen) and wide receiver Ainias Smith (ankle) continue to practice as full participants as both players are on Injured Reserve; Designated for Return.

Will Joe Burrow have his blindside protector on Sunday?

Quarterback Joe Burrow is on the Bengals' injury report each week with the right throwing wrist injury that prematurely ended his 2023 campaign. He has been a full participant all season and that trend continued on Wednesday.

One injury to watch for the Bengals is the status of starting left tackle Orlando Brown. The fourth-time Pro Bowl selection exited the second quarter of Sunday's win over the Browns with a right knee injury and was limited on Wednesday. Cody Ford replaced Brown in the lineup against the Browns.

Burrow has a 3-11-1 career record when he is sacked four or more times. The Eagles have a league-best 13 sacks over the past two weeks. Burrow has been pressured on just 26.5 percent of his dropbacks this season, the second-lowest pressure rate among qualified quarterbacks, according to Next Gen Stats.

Starting safety Geno Stone missed Wednesday's practice with a shin injury that he incurred against Cleveland. Defensive tackle Kris Jenkins was a full participant with a thumb injury.

Three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Trey Hendrickson did not practice on Wednesday for personal reasons. Hendrickson is tied for fourth in the NFL with seven sacks this season. He is one of only two players with at least five sacks and 15 QB hits this season (Detroit's Aidan Hutchinson).
