Eagles vs. Commanders Injury Report

Friday's Injury Report

"I'm playing."

A.J. Brown calmed down Eagles fans with his declaration after practice on Friday.

Brown was given the typical rest day on Wednesday, but a knee injury was added to the injury report on Thursday.

"I was fine after the game, fine the next day, fine the day after that," Brown said. "It just kind of comes with the game. After a period of time, stuff like that starts happening and you find a way to get through it."

Brown was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, but has no game status designation for Sunday's rematch with the Washington Commanders.

"Just thinking about going out there and executing," Brown said. "It's going to be a big game, tough game on the road. Just have to get the win. Find a way to win whatever it takes."

The Eagles clinch the NFC East Division title with a win or a tie.

Brown is in, but wide receiver Britain Covey will miss a third straight game with a neck injury despite being a full participant in practice. Covey suffered the injury on December 1 in the win over the Ravens. Cooper DeJean has handled punt return duties in Covey's absence.

Defensive end Bryce Huff will have to wait at least another week to make his return from Injured Reserve. The Eagles opened his practice window this week and he was limited as he is coming off of a wrist procedure.

Safety Sydney Brown suffered a concussion last week against the Steelers. He was a full participant on Friday, but remains questionable as he has to clear the NFL's concussion protocol.

Guard Landon Dickerson was a limited participant in practice, but he is good to go despite a knee injury that forced him to leave Sunday's win over the Steelers early.

OUT

• WR Britain Covey (Neck, Full Participation)
• DE Bryce Huff (Wrist, Limited Participation)

QUESTIONABLE

• S Sydney Brown (Concussion, Full Participation)

Jeremy Chinn, Zach Ertz questionable for Commanders

Two key starters for the Commanders remain in the NFL's concussion protocol.

Starting safety Jeremy Chinn (full participation) and starting tight end Zach Ertz (limited participation) practiced on Friday, but are both questionable as they must be cleared by the league in order to play.

Both players incurred their injuries last Sunday against the Saints.

The only player who has been ruled out for the Commanders is defensive tackle Jonathan Allen, who is on Injured Reserve with a pectoral injury. The Commanders opened his 21-day practice window this week.

Starting guard Sam Cosmi missed practice time this week due to an illness, but he'll be available for Sunday.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown was also limited as a knee injury was added to the report. On Wednesday, he would not have been given a rest day if the team held a practice – they held a walkthrough instead.
