ESPN: Samuel Fourth-Best CB In NFL

On the eight ballots, Samuel was ranked as high as third on two of them and no lower than fifth on any of the votes. Samuel finished just four points behind Green Bay's Charles Woodson for third place. Darrelle Revis of the New York Jets was the winner of the vote with Oakland's Nnamdi Asomugha a close second with just two fewer points than Revis.

Signed by the Eagles as the league's premier free agent in the 2008 offseason, Samuel has made the Pro Bowl in all three of his seasons in midnight green and has been honored with four overall Pro Bowl selections. There are only four active players in the league who have more career interceptions than Samuel's 42. In 2010, Samuel led the NFC in interceptions for the second consecutive season with seven.

Since entering the league as a fourth-round pick of the Patriots in 2003, Samuel is first in the league in interception returns for a touchdown (including playoffs) with eight and first in pass knockdowns with 133. No NFL player has had more picks since 2006 than Samuel, who has 36. In fact, Samuel has had at least six picks in four of the past five seasons.
