After Brandon Graham explained how he took the reps with the first-team defense at left defensive end during Monday's practice, he said the challenge now is to keep earning those reps.
"I guess right now it's a test for me, as it always is, to know that you did good, but now you have to fight to keep it," Graham said. "That's all I'm trying to do is make sure I keep it."
Defensive coordinator Sean McDermott said that Graham played "extremely well" and was "very productive" last Friday night against Cincinnati. Graham recorded his first sack of the preseason in the Eagles' loss. Even with the early success that he's had, even Graham is "surprised" at how his role is developing.
"I know the ability I have, but to put it together this quick is special," Graham said.
Graham understood that as the 13th overall pick in this year's draft he was going to be expected to contribute from day one.
