Vikings quarterback Brett Favre won't be upgraded from out to questionable this week.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback did not practice at all this week after suffering a concussion Monday night against the Bears. He also has a shoulder injury and a neck injury on top of that. The end result is that Favre was listed by the Vikings as doubtful to play this Sunday night against the Eagles. If Favre can't play, rookie Joe Webb will make his first-career start in this nationally televised contest.
Webb might get some help from running back Adrian Peterson. The All-Pro running back missed the Monday night game due to a thigh injury, but could play after being a limited participant in practice this week. Peterson was listed as questionable, but interim head coach Leslie Frazier has said that he will not sit Peterson just because the team is 5-9 and mathematically eliminated from the postseason.
Another injury to watch for the Vikings is the status of starting safety Madieu Williams, who did not practice all week as a result of a concussion.
