We always get to see Donovan McNabb smiling in the huddle and joking on the sidelines with his teammates. But we never get to hear what he's saying to them.
That is until tonight.
One of the best parts of the inaugural Eagles Flight Night! is that McNabb and middle linebacker Stewart Bradley will be mic'd up during practice.
"It's an event that we want to treat like a regular practice and still show a little something extra for the fans," McNabb said about Flight Night!. "So I'm looking forward to it."
This is not going to be an ordinary training camp practice. It's going to be, I think, very much like a scrimmage. The players not only have the chance to impress the coaches, but the fans as well. There will be a lot more of the fans at Flight Night! than at the practices at Lehigh University. The players have not gone through a significant number of "live" periods so far. I have to believe that it's because the coaches are going to let them loose tonight. It's going to be feisty out there with jobs on the line. And it'll be in a great atmosphere for fans who normally may not get the chance to go to Lehigh or see the team in person at Lincoln Financial Field.
Tickets will be available at the Lincoln Financial Field box office beginning at 3 PM. We'll see you down there tonight!
