FORT WORTH, Texas --The Eagles arrived at their team hotel here on Saturday afternoon, greeted by hundreds of screaming, raucous fans chanting "E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES" as the team filed from their buses through the lobby to check in, and quarterback Nick Foles had his fair share of love from the faithful.
"This is awesome. What a great environment. These fans are into it, and so are we," said Foles. "We're all really looking forward to the game. It's a big moment. We know it. We just continue to prepare every day and we'll be ready for Dallas."
Foles grew up in Austin, TX, which is only a few hours away from AT&T Stadium. He'll have a following wearing No. 9 in Eagles green amid the Cowboys fans on Sunday night.
"It's exciting to be back and we're going to go out there and play our game," said Foles. "We feel like we're confident and ready for this spot. Now we have to go out and do it, and play Eagles football, play for each other. That's what we intend to do."
The scene at the team hotel was as wild as its ever been, as fans roared in appreciation as the team made its way to check in.
"Can you believe this?" said linebacker Mychal Kendricks, smiling. "It's great. The fans are hyped. So are we."
Defensive end Trent Cole, an Eagle since 2005, has been through this before, so the fans filling the ground floor of the hotel didn't faze him. He loved the emotion, and has his focus on the Dallas offense.
"We know they have a great offense and we have to play our best football," he said. "Gotta get after them and play defense, be physical."
