The Black College Hall of Fame revealed its Class of 2012 and among the 11 inductees are two former Eagles - defensive end Claude Humphrey and director of player personnel Jackie Graves.
Humphrey was a member of the 1980 NFC Champion Eagles team and ended his stellar 13-year career with three seasons in Philadelphia. A former first-round pick of the Falcons in 1968, Humphrey earned six Pro Bowl nods, two All-Pro selections and was a three-time finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Even though sacks did not become an official stat until 1982, Humphrey recorded 126.5 sacks in his career. As an All-America lineman at Tennessee State, Humphrey led the Big Blue Tigers to a 35-3-1 record in a three-year span from 1965 to 1967 which also resulted in a national title.
Graves was instrumental in helping players make the jump from the Historic Black College programs to the professional ranks. He was recently inducted into the Ourlads' Scout Hall of Fame. Graves' son, Rod, is the General Manager of the Arizona Cardinals.
