The Eagles are allowed beginning at Noon on Saturday to enter into negotiations with the certified agents of players from other teams who are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents. Even though the Eagles can have discussions, no contract can be signed until free agency officially begins Tuesday, March 11 at 4 PM. The Eagles are also not allowed to have direct contact with the player and can't arrange travel plans for any sort of visit until the start of free agency.
The three-day negotiating window only applies to potential unrestricted free agents. The Eagles have seven total free agents and six of them are unrestricted: safeties Nate Allen, Colt Anderson and Kurt Coleman; defensive end Clifton Geathers, punter Donnie Jones and quarterback Michael Vick.
