The Eagles played host on a beautiful sunny day in their final preseason game against the Vikings on Saturday.

Much of the starters on both sides of the ball wore street clothes as the rest of the roster competed for a spot on the team in their last chance to showcase why they belong.

"The message after the game also was, that's the last time those 91 guys will be together. We're going to have to make some tough decisions. But it was a good camp. It was a camp that guys worked their butts off. We got better. And it took all 91 guys to get better. Not just the 53 that are going to make this team. It took all of us. But it is the last time those 91 guys will be Philadelphia Eagles together." Head Coach Nick Sirianni said.

First Quarter

  • The Vikings got on the board first with a touchdown from wide receiver Trishton Jackson off of the throw by quarterback Jaren Hall. A pair of penalties plagued the Eagles on the drive. A Cooper DeJean penalty forced a Tristin McCollum interception to be called back before Minnesota found the end zone. (Vikings 7 – Eagles 0)
  • The Eagles began their first drive with six straight carries from Tyrion Davis-Price before he fumbled in Vikings territory, turning the ball over.
  • "I was excited. A lot of adrenaline rolling, so it's good to be back out there. A lot of things to learn from." DeJean said about his first NFL game.
  • "There were some good things. There's going to be some things to clean up. But it was good to have him out there because he's talented and we're excited about his potential." Nick Sirianni said about DeJean's performance.

Second Quarter

  • The Vikings extended their lead with a 31-yard field goal after a third-down sack from Julian Okwara saved a potential touchdown off of the turnover. (Vikings 10 – Eagles 0)
  • The Eagles got their first points of the day with a 41-yard field goal from Jake Elliott on a drive that saw more action rushing the ball with Davis-Price and a 19-yard catch from Parris Campbell to move them down the field. (Vikings 10 – Eagles 3)
  • The penalties continued for the Eagles after a pass interference call on Zech McPhearson set the Vikings forward 16 yards. Minnesota grabbed its second touchdown of the day on a four-yard pass to wide receiver Justin Hall. (Vikings 17 – Eagles 3)
  • The Eagles failed to convert on fourth down with 1:30 left in the half, turning it over on downs after Lew Nichols lost a yard on 4th-and-1 at the 50.
  • Minnesota knocked in another field goal from 33 yards out to make it a three-score game just before the half came to a close. (Vikings 20 – Eagles 3)

Third Quarter

  • The Vikings went down the field quickly to open the second half before being held to a 20-yard field goal after not being able to punch it in from the Eagles' 1-yard line. Okwara forced pressure on the quarterback to force an incompletion on third down.
  • New quarterbacks for each team opened up the third quarter as Tanner McKee (Eagles) and Matt Corral (Vikings) took over.
  • The Eagles went for it on a 4th-and-6 from Minnesota's 46-yard line as McKee ran for what was originally 6 yards and a first down but was challenged by the Vikings and reversed, resulting in a turnover on downs.
  • The Eagles' offense gained some steam late in the quarter when McKee hit wide receiver Griffin Hebert for 35 yards with 4:32 left.
  • The drive ended with another turnover on downs as the ball went back to Minnesota with 48 seconds remaining in the quarter.

Fourth Quarter

  • McKee led the offense down the field, making some nice throws, but the Eagles remained without a touchdown as an interception was thrown on 4th-and-4 when the ball was tipped up and caught in the end zone by the Vikings' Jay Ward with 8:24 remaining.
  • Tarron Jackson got past the line and sacked Corral for a loss of 7 yards on 3rd-and-6 to force a punt with 7:00 left in the game.
  • Quarterback Will Grier saw some fourth-quarter action for the Birds, checking in at the 6:11 mark.
  • A 57-yard field goal from Will Reichard extended the Vikings' lead to 23 with 2:15 remaining. (Vikings 26 – Eagles 3)
  • "It's a good example of that if you don't play with good fundamentals -- we missed some tackles. We fumbled the football. We didn't take the football away. We had a takeaway that had a penalty. We had some penalties. We had some drops in some critical areas that would have led to points and all those things led to points.
So that's what you hope that doesn't happen, but that happened today. So, it's just a good example, you can have all the talent in the world, have all the best plays in the world. But if you don't play with good fundamentals, I don't care what level you are, it's going to affect if you win or lose the football game." Sirianni said.
