GLENDALE, AZ – The Eagles hired Cory Undlin as their defensive backs coach earlier in the week after Undlin spent three seasons in Denver, the last two as the team's DBs coach. Three of Undlin's players made the 2015 Pro Bowl and they offered rave reviews of the newest Eagles coach.
"He's a smart coach, well detailed, a player's coach and he's a good guy," cornerback Aqib Talib said of Undlin. "He will definitely have those guys ready to play on Sunday. He is going to make sure that you know the game plan well and then it's going to be your job to go out and execute it. You won't be confused on the game plan at all with Cory.
"He definitely helped my game. I was new to the defense (in 2014, having signed as an unrestricted free agent with Denver prior to the season) and Cory helped me out a bunch learning that defense last year."
Said cornerback Chris Harris, Jr.: "He's very smart and he'll know exactly what the other team is going to do, and the preparation part of it is important. Cory will be on top of that. There will be no surprises for the Eagles' defensive backs."
GAME PLAN TIME: Kelce has the responsibility of coordinating the offensive line for Team Carter when he's playing, but there won't be a lot of complicated schemes about which to be concerned. Defenses play a 4-3 front and there is no blitzing permitted.
"I think we'll all be on the same page by the time the game comes around," Kelce said. "We all know how to get things coordinated in a short period of time. You block the man in front of you and everything is going to be fine." !
