EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- So much for having Chad Hall as an innocent bystander for the stretch run of the 2011 regular season. Not only did he suit up for the first time this year, Hall on Sunday night did a little bit of everything for the Eagles in a 17-10 win over the Giants.
Hall, activated last Wednesday when safety Jarrad Page was released, played snaps as a wide receiver and a running back from the line of scrimmage and also helped out on special teams in the punt return game.
Overall, Hall had 2 carries for 11 yards and one punt return for 9 yards, part of the total-team effort in the critical victory.
"It felt great. We got the W and there is no better feeling than that. I got back in the groove and it felt good to help," said Hall. "They gave me pretty much the same package as last year -- a little bit of running back, some receiver and a couple of punt returns.
"Anything they want me to do, I'm going to do."
Playing without starting quarterback Michael Vick and starting wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, the Eagles cobbled together 391 yards of offense, controlling the football for 36 minutes, 18 seconds and spreading the football around. They used the entire offensive roster, including Hall and Riley Cooper, neither of whom had caught a pass in 2011 prior to Sunday night.
"That's what it takes," said Hall. "We have to dig ourselves out of this hole. Everybody has to step up and contribute."
