Both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals were without one of their starting cornerbacks for the Thanksgiving clash at Lincoln Financial Field.
Asante Samuel and Rod Hood each missed the game as Samuel missed the game with a stinger injury and Hood sat out with a rib injury. Joselio Hanson started for Samuel against the league's No. 2 passing attack and Ralph Brown was in for Hood.
Samuel wasn't the only Eagle out due to an injury. Running back Correll Buckhalter missed the game as expected due to a knee injury. Brian Westbrook started for the Eagles and Lorenzo Booker served as the primary backup. Guard Shawn Andrews missed his 10th straight game with a back injury. Max Jean-Gilles started for Andrews.
Also inactive for the Eagles were quarterback A.J. Feeley, linebacker Joe Mays, defensive end Bryan Smith, guard Shawn Andrews, offensive lineman Mike McGlynn and tight end Matt Schobel.
For the Cardinals, Brian St. Pierre was the third quarterback, cornerback Matt Ware was out with a head injury, linebacker Clark Haggans, tackle Brandon Keith, defensive tackle Alan Branch, wide receiver Early Doucet and tight end Jerame Tuman were the other inactives.
