King Dunlap missed Thursday's practice due to a back injury. Dunlap wasn't on the injury report Wednesday.
Winston Justice said that he took the reps at first-team right tackle on Thursday. Todd Herremans moved over to left tackle. Justice has played in one game this season, but is certainly no stranger to the starting lineup. Just a year ago, Justice started 13 games at right tackle. After practice, Justice said he has "no idea" regarding Dunlap's status for Sunday, but would embrace the chance to start.
"I look forward to that," Justice said. "Your goal as a player is to be the best player you can. You have to start to do that."
The potential challenge for the Eagles if Dunlap is not able to play is the fact that there would only be two healthy tackles in Herremans and Justice. Jason Peters missed practice again on Thursday due to his hamstring injury and his status is in doubt for Sunday.
The Eagles did get some good news on the defensive line as tackle Cullen Jenkins was limited, which is an upgrade from his status Wednesday as he missed practice with a tricep injury. Jenkins was confident even on Wednesday that he will be able to play Sunday against Washington.
Defensive end Trent Cole didn't practice Thursday due to his calf injury, but proclaimed in the locker room afterwards that he is looking to surprise people. Fellow end Juqua Parker was limited with his ankle injury, another upgrade from Wednesday when he didn't practice.
The following Eagles were full participants in Thursday's practice: safety Nate Allen (knee), wide receiver Jason Avant (hip), tackle Winston Justice (knee), safety Jarrad Page (stinger), wide receiver Steve Smith (knee), defensive end Darryl Tapp (pectoral) and guard Julian Vandervelde (elbow).
