The Eagles' Week 9 meeting with the Cowboys will arguably be their most important game of the season to date. And when they take the field in Dallas for Sunday Night Football, they'll be missing a couple key players due to injury.

Left tackle Jason Peters suffered a back injury against the Panthers in Week 7 and will miss Sunday's game. In his place, right tackle Lane Johnson will switch to the left side, Dennis Kelly will play right tackle, and Matt Tobin will be inserted at right guard. The team will also be without rookie wideout Nelson Agholor (ankle), who has yet to suit up since Week 5. Linebacker DeMeco Ryans (hamstring) is also inactive, along with four healthy scratches – quarterback Thad Lewis, defensive end Brandon Bair, linebacker Brad Jones, and defensive back Denzel Rice.

Luckily, a few players whose status had been up in the air will be active for the team, including their leading rusher, Ryan Mathews, who had been listed as "questionable" due to a lingering groin injury. Through seven games, Mathews has led Philadelphia in rushing yards, gaining 342 on just 56 attempts for an average of 6.1 yards per carry. Making his return to action after being knocked out due to a knee injury in Week 2, linebacker Kiko Alonso (knee) will suit up against Dallas.

Rookie Jordan Hicks will start alongside Mychal Kendricks at the two inside linebacker spots, and Josh Huff will start at wide receiver in place of Agholor.

The Cowboys' inactives are Kellen Moore, Brice Butler, Corey White, Trey Williams, Ron Leary, Geoff Swaim, and Ryan Russell.
