Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts held a press conference with a crowd that looked a little different than the media he is used to seeing when he gets to the podium.
This time, Hurts answered questions from the Eagles Kids Club, which is comprised of fans ages 5-12 years old. The Eagles Kids Club, presented by ACME and Rita's, allows members to receive access to exclusive contests and merchandise, invites to can't-miss events, engagement opportunities with the players (such as asking Jalen Hurts questions at a press conference), and more.
Here are some of the best responses from the Q&A session:
Why did you want to be a football player?
"It's a great question. I wanted to be a football player because I was always around it. Sometimes you become what you're exposed to and I was exposed to the game at a very early age. It was fun and I grew to have a great love for it. So, here I am still playing."
How old were you when you scored your first touchdown?
"How old was I when I scored? The first one was a kind of deep ball. I was a receiver. Literally, I was in the fourth grade, and I was 8. I was 8 years old, first touchdown. It was amazing because I'd always think back to, like playing the video games and just having this vision of myself getting in the end zone, and that was my first time I experienced it. It's bringing back memories."
How many times did you do a press conference?
"I do it all the time and it kind of comes with it, and it's fun and I know you guys are able to see me through this way. I do it all the time after every game, and then I do it once in the middle of a practice week. So, twice a week, twice a week."
What is your favorite game time moment?
"During the game, I enjoy when they play the scene from Rocky and I run and I pump the crowd up. Just a great moment for me."
