Early this morning, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly joined the WIP Morning Show to talk about the Eagles 20-19 loss to Miami. The biggest news to come out of yesterday's game was quarterback Sam Bradford leaving the game with a concussion and shoulder injury. Today, Kelly gave an update on Bradford's health and also reiterated his confidence in the quarterback.
"When Sam is healthy, he'll be our starting quarterback," Kelly said. "He's in the concussion protocol, so that's entirely up to – there's a whole system in the NFL with the independent that has to come, his symptoms have to go away and however that gets taken care of.
"Malcolm (Jenkins) had one last week and was able to play this week. I don't know with Sam. Every concussion is kind of (unique) to the individual in terms of the severity of it and where it is, so it's totally in the doctors' hands and they'll tell us when Sam is ready to play."
Kelly will meet with the media at the NovaCare Complex at 1pm on Monday afternoon, so be sure to tune in right here on PhiladelphiaEagles.com or our official team app.
