• January 15: Deadline for underclassmen to declare for 2012 NFL Draft
• January 23-28: Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
• February 20: Franchise and transition players can be designated
• February 22-28: NFL Combine (Indianapolis)
• March 5: Deadline to sign designated franchise and transition players
• March 13 at 4 PM (EST): Free agency begins
• March 25-28: Owners' meetings (Palm Beach, Fla.)
• April 16: Offseason workout program begins (nine weeks)
• April 26-28: NFL Draft (New York)
• May 12-14: Rookie mini-camp
• May 22-24: Organized Team Activities
• May 30-June 1: OTAs
• June 4-7: OTAs
• June 12-14: Full-team mini camp
Regarding the March 5 deadline and the start of free agency on March 13, here are the Eagles who are set to become free agents ...
Defensive end Victor Abiamiri, running back Ronnie Brown, defensive tackle Antonio Dixon, offensive tackle King Dunlap, wide receiver DeSean Jackson, defensive tackle Derek Landri, defensive tackle Trevor Laws, guard Evan Mathis, defensive end Juqua Parker, fullback Owen Schmitt, wide receiver Steve Smith and quarterback Vince Young.
Of these 12 players, Dixon is scheduled to become a restricted free agent. The rest will be unrestricted.
In late April, the Eagles have 10 picks in this year's draft including the 15th overall selection. The Eagles have their own pick in Rounds 1-6 and have an extra second-round pick (Arizona), an extra fourth-round pick (Tampa Bay) and two extra sixth-round picks (Denver and New England). Their seventh-round pick belongs to New England.
