Quarterback Kevin Kolb is one of three quarterbacks nominated for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the week honors for week 3.
Kolb became the first player in NFL history to throw for over 300 yards in his first two NFL starts when he led the 34-14 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Kolb threw for 327 yards and two touchdowns on 24-34 passing. He also added a running touchdown.
The other two nominees are Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts and Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens. Manning threw for 379 yards and four touchdowns on the Colts' 31-10 win over the Arizona Cardinals, and Flacco threw for 342 yards and one touchdown on the Ravens' 34-3 pounding of the Cleveland Browns.
