The Eagles announced on Saturday that Johnnie Lynn is no longer the team's cornerbacks coach. Lynn, a longtime coach in the league, joined the defensive coaching staff as Andy Reid remade that side of the ball following last season's playoff loss to Green Bay.
After one season with the Eagles, Lynn is gone from the team.
There is no further word on next actions. The defensive coaching staff is, obviously, being watched closely after an 8-8 season that was so disappointing.
The move to dismiss Lynn is the latest move for the Eagles and their coaching staff. On Tuesday, Chairman/CEO Jeffrey Lurie announced that Reid would return as the team's head coach for 2012, his 14th season with the Eagles. Now the Eagles have an opening coaching the cornerbacks.
