Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin said on Thursday that he expects to be "eased into practice" with the intention of playing this Sunday against the 49ers.
"It's doing all right. We'll continue to treat it over the next couple of days," Maclin said.
When asked if he had to play Thursday, Maclin replied, "Yeah, I think so. I think so. Things are looking good for me."
Maclin added that he wouldn't do "anything to jeopardize the team" by playing hurt.
Should Maclin not be able to play, the Eagles have Jason Avant, Steve Smith and Riley Cooper, who suffered a concussion against the Giants but was already cleared and practiced Wednesday.
This season, Maclin has 19 catches for 260 yards and two touchdowns. In the Week 2 game against Atlanta, Maclin had a career-high 13 catches for 171 yards and the two scores.
