In a sitdown interview with NBC's Bob Costas for tonight's "Football Night In America" telecast, running back LeSean McCoy voiced his belief that the Eagles can "run the table" and win the final seven games of the regular season beginning with the Sunday night showdown against the Giants.
And McCoy said that he's not the only one who believes that.
"I think so. Not only me, but everyone in that locker room thinks the Eagles can win out. The talent is there. You ask defenses that we play; when they turn the tape on they don't see a 3-6 team," McCoy said. "I think if we just take care of the small things we are in good shape. I think we can run the table."
The Eagles trail the first-place Giants by three games in the NFC East. The Eagles need a win tonight to earn a split of the season series and they will have to do so without quarterback Michael Vick and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.
McCoy has been the best player on offense for the Eagles this season as he leads the entire league in total touchdowns, is tied for first in rushing touchdowns, second in rushing yards, third in yards per carry and fourth in yards from scrimmage.
