Running back LeSean McCoy's historic game on Sunday has earned him a nomination for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week Award.
McCoy rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns as he broke Steve Van Buren's 66-year-old franchise records for most rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns in a single season. Sunday was McCoy's sixth 100-yard rushing performance and sixth multi-touchdown game of the year. In fact, McCoy has scored a touchdown in every game except for one in 2011.
A two-time winner of the FedEx Ground Player of the Week Award already in 2011, McCoy leads the entire National Football League in total touchdowns (20), rushing touchdowns (17), first downs (100) and runs of 10-or-more yards (47). With 1,274 rushing yards, McCoy is first in the NFC and second in the league.
