Terming himself as the "old young guy" as the first practice with rookies and selected veterans wrapped up, quarterback Donovan McNabb spent much of his first press conference Monday talking about his new supporting cast and how different it is without fellow veterans like Brian Dawkins, Jon Runyan and Tra Thomas.
"We have a lot of young faces, we have a lot of new faces," McNabb said. "For me to sit here and say, 'Hey, we're a Super Bowl team. We're going to win the Super Bowl.' I don't believe in all of that. That's something at the end of the year we'll find out who wins and who doesn't.
"I think we have a great team. We have some great athletes here, but we have to put the pieces of the puzzle together. And if we can do that, hopefully we can write our own ticket and be able to finish this thing off in Miami."
