Don't believe the Eagles are Super? Well, Sports Illustrated does.
Quarterback Donovan McNabb is one of six NFL players featured on regional covers for the annual NFL preview issue which hits newsstands Wednesday. It is the third time that McNabb has been the on the cover and the 13th time an Eagles player was highlighted on the front of the prestigious magazine. McNabb was first placed on the cover after the win over the Packers in the 2003 playoffs, which was best remembered for the 4th-and-26 play. The second time was in September 2005, early in the season following the appearance in Super Bowl XXXIX.
The other five players featured in the regional covers are Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, Dallas quarterback Tony Romo, Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew and Vikings running back Adrian Peterson. McNabb is smiling with the words "Bring It" in large print on the page.
Speaking of Super Bowl, Sports Illustrated senior writer Paul Zimmerman picked the Eagles to finish 12-4 and win the NFC East. In the playoffs, Zimmerman expects the Eagles to knock off the Cowboys and the Vikings en route to an appearance in Super Bowl XLIII. What do the Eagles do there? You'll have to pick up the magazine to find out.
