Ever since Michael Vick was signed by the Eagles in 2009, fans have dreamed of seeing him race against his teammates, some of whom are among the fastest in the NFL.
Well, it took some time, but one race finally took place at the NovaCare Complex on Thursday.
Safety Colt Anderson generated buzz on Twitter just before lunch time when he unveiled the results of a 40-yard race between Vick and running back LeSean McCoy.
Vick confirmed the race took place on his Twitter account. Apparently, the younger McCoy got on Vick's case about his age and the four-time Pro Bowl quarterback had enough of the talk.
And, it turns out the race wasn't even close.
Of course, McCoy would take to Twitter to dispute the results.
Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any video footage of the race. Workouts were completed for the day and the video staff was back inside the NovaCare Complex editing for coaches. Even though Vick will turn 33 years old later this year, should we really be surprised by the results? Vick ran a 4.33 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2001 prior to being the No. 1 overall selection. At his Pro Day prior to the 2009 NFL Draft, McCoy ran a 4.5.
